Dr. Ben Bumguardner is the founder of Alpha Sports Performance Medicine and serves as the Medical Director at the brand’s flagship clinic in College Station, Texas. Dr. Ben is a licensed chiropractor with a deep background in athlete-centered care, and he created Alpha Sports to reimagine how athletes of all levels receive support, treatment, and performance guidance. His approach blends disciplines under one roof to offer collaborative, whole-athlete care backed by years of experience treating youth athletes, collegiate competitors, and members of Team USA’s track and field and bobsled programs.
At our College Station location, Dr. Ben leads a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering personalized care through Alpha’s proprietary Resiliency Training Model. He is passionate about educating athletes on the connections between brain function, body mechanics, and soft tissue health and in helping them move better, recover faster, and perform with confidence. Dr. Ben is known for his leadership and innovation in the field and continues to push the boundaries of what modern sports medicine can offer while mentoring the next generation of performance providers.
Dr. Tanner attained his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Colorado Mesa University in 2018. Subsequently, he and his wife relocated to Dallas, where he successfully completed his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2022.
During his academic journey, Dr. Tanner actively participated in multiple sports, including football, baseball, and basketball, during his high school tenure. Notably, he achieved the distinction of being a two-time all-conference tight end and served as a team captain for Colorado Mesa throughout his illustrious five-year collegiate career.
Dr. Tanner possesses experience in coaching both teams and individuals in the realm of strength and conditioning. Additionally, he has honed his skills in working with athletes of all ages, focusing on both rehabilitation and sports performance. To further augment his professional qualifications, Dr. Tanner is a Titleist Performance Institute Medical 1 provider. He is also currently certified in RockTape Functional Movement, Blades, and Blades Advanced. He actively engages in continuing education to ensure he remains up-to-date with the latest advancements in his field.
Suzete has been married to her husband Ben since 2010, and the couple has three wonderful kids. She has always had a passion for caring for people, both physically and emotionally, which has inspired her to pursue a career as a massage therapist.
After serving as the lead and trainer at Alpha Sports Performance Medicine for 5 years as a soft tissue specialist, Suzete is excited to use her experience and skills to help clients heal and thrive. She grew up playing volleyball, basketball, and running track, and her love for competition and athletics drives her to support others in achieving their best performance.
Kasey joined the Alpha Sports Performance team in January 2025 after moving to College Station from Indiana. She is originally from South Carolina and completed her B.S. in Athletic Training in 2016 from the University of South Carolina. While there, she worked as an athletic training student with the Gamecock softball, swimming and diving, men’s soccer, and baseball teams, as well as local high schools and universities. From there, she worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Florida International University, where she completed her M.S. in Recreation and Sport Management in 2018.
While at FIU, Kasey worked with the Panthers’ indoor and beach volleyball teams. Once she completed her education, she went to The Ohio State University for a one-year internship and worked with the Buckeye softball program. Following this, she went to William & Mary, where she worked with the Tribe’s swimming, volleyball, gymnastics, and golf teams for three years. Her journey then took her to Bloomington, Indiana, where she spent time with Donjoy before she became certified in paramedical tattooing. She provided medical tattooing services to breast cancer survivors before she and her husband moved to College Station.
Kasey briefly worked with Central Texas Sports Medicine as an athletic trainer/ medical assistant with the Aggie team doctors before joining the Alpha Sports team. Her husband is an assistant swimming coach at Texas A&M University, and they’re both super excited to be a part of the Aggie and Alpha family.
Kasey is certified in functional dry needling and is a board member of Women in Athletic Training. She enjoys working with shoulder injuries and post-surgical rehabs.
With over 25 years of experience in massage therapy, Mary Campise brings deep knowledge, skilled hands, and a servant’s heart to every session. Her approach is grounded in both time-tested techniques and a genuine passion for helping others heal, move better, and thrive. Mary specializes in therapeutic and medical massage, working alongside our multidisciplinary team to support athletes and active individuals on their journey to optimal health.
Outside the clinic, Mary’s life is rooted in her faith — she loves the Lord and views her work as a form of ministry, offering care, compassion, and excellence through every touch.
